Project: Website Redesign and Platform Migration
Team: WeatherTech Web Team + 3rd Party Agency
My Role: UI/UX Designer
Tools: Figma, Jira, Confluence
Timeframe: February 2024 - January 2025
The problem
Overtime, WeatherTech’s site and platform began to fall behind modern e-commerce standards. The site’s limited technical capabilities, combined with a visually cluttered interface and inconsistent design patterns, created friction in the user experience. These challenges ultimately highlighted the need for a redesign to improve usability, performance, and overall customer engagement.
No Search Functionality & Atypical header
No Filtering Capabilities
Unstructured & Unorganized Navigation Menu
The Goal
Due to a short timeline for this project, this project was broken into parts, MVP and MVP+. The goal of MVP was to:
Maintain all existing functionality of the previous site
Gain modern capabilities to meet user’s standards for e-commerce shopping such as search, personalization and filtering
Improve the site UI and add UX best practices on the site

MVP+ Improvement Plan
While the team worked on stabilizing the site, I worked on crafting and executing an improvement plan by:
Gathering leadership goals to define a clear roadmap for MVP+
Conducting competitive analysis of automotive accessory e-commerce platforms to identify industry benchmarks and feature gaps
Proposing A/B testing initiatives, including hypotheses and supporting design concepts, based on performance data and competitive insights
Creating exploratory design solutions for PDP, PLP, and CLP experiences aligned with business objectives and user needs
Partnering with the marketing team to develop purposeful, conversion-focused site content that supported campaign and brand goals
